VFX Horror
For my current third-year game project, we're developing a horror game centered around paranoia, which involves vision-based mechanics and VFX. I conducted extensive research and created numerous concepts to ensure my effects effectively convey this unsettling feeling. This first one shows silhouettes with chromatic aberration, evoking a sensation of being watched and followed.


As the project progressed, I focused on the theme of gaze and the descent into madness—the overwhelming feeling of being watched to the point of real, tangible pain. The player's vision is even projected into what appears to be their own eye, as they gradually lose their grip on reality. The addition of eyes further intensifies the sensation of being constantly perceived.
